Thursday Sept. 17. Spirited Away

Thursday Sept. 17. Spirited Away is a startling antidote to the Disney-fication of animation: strange, mysterious, sometimes frightening, and visually transporting. At its center is Chihiro, a young heroine who is neither a princess nor a weakling, but an ordinary kid forced to find her way in a new and unpredictable world. I could argue it’s the most beautiful animated feature film ever made. #qualityfilmclub #capitolhillseattle #spiritedaway
