A dead grocery store with a second act
The Quality Flea Center is what happens when an empty Capitol Hill supermarket gets handed to the people who throw the best parties in Seattle.
The Punk Rock Flea Market spent years bouncing between warehouses, parking lots and whatever room would have a few hundred weirdos and their folding tables. In an abandoned QFC at 416 15th Ave. E. Seattle, WA 98122, it finally found a room big enough to stay in.
We kept the name as a joke and then it stuck: Quality Flea Center. 15,000 square feet of open floor, a loading door onto 15th, and neighbors who have learned to expect noise on a Saturday.
The market is still the heart of it, but the calendar filled up fast — movie nights projected on the back wall, swap meets, record fairs, robot battles, benefit shows, and whatever a Seattle promoter talks us into next.
Everything here runs on the same rule the flea market ran on: cheap tables, weird vendors, no gatekeeping. If you want the room, ask for it.

An abandoned grocery store, put back to work.
The Quality Flea Center is 15,000 square feet of big, colorful, flexible hall in a former QFC supermarket at 416 15th Ave. E. Seattle, WA 98122. Professional sound and lighting, a concrete floor that has survived worse, and load-in straight off 15th Ave.
It's the permanent home of the Punk Rock Flea Market, and the rest of the calendar belongs to movie nights, swap meets, robot battles, concerts, popups and whatever you talk us into.
